The Story

Material first.
Purpose throughout.

This model studies the proportion and authority of late-imperial presentation swords without claiming to reproduce a single historical object. The workshop adapts length, fittings and surface finish to the collector’s display context.

The Pixiu Imperial Jian uses a long, double-edged profile with a central ridge, dark ebony furniture and sculpted copper mounts. Its mass and balance are specified for ceremonial handling and display rather than repetitive cutting practice.
